Central Sleep Apnea

Unlike Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA), which occurs due to physical obstructions in the airway, CSA arises from a lack of proper signals from the brain that control breathing muscles. In this form of sleep apnea, the brain doesn't send the appropriate signals to the muscles that control breathing, leading to interrupted or stopped breathing during sleep. Central sleep apnea, though less common than obstructive sleep apnea, requires attention and appropriate management to improve sleep quality, alleviate symptoms, and address underlying health concerns.
